What we publish

LankaIndex is a public index. A business profile contains business information only: business name, category, district, street address, phone number, email address, website, social profile links, founding year, price range and the services offered. None of it is private information about an individual.

Where the information comes from

From publicly available sources and from business owners who claim and correct their own profile. Business owners can submit corrections at any time, and a correction takes effect on the next update of the index.

Support and community signals

Supporting a business is an action taken by a visitor, not by the business. The support count shown on a profile is an aggregate, published figure. It is not linked to a named account and is not sold or shared.

Analytics

LankaIndex may record aggregated, non-identifying usage statistics — such as which profiles are viewed and which searches return no results — to improve coverage. These figures are not used to build profiles about individual visitors.

Corrections and removal

If information about your business is wrong, or you want a profile removed, contact us with the profile URL and the correction. Business contact details are corrected or removed on request from someone authorised to act for the business.
